Johnstown, Pennsylvania - ULANOWSKI - Stephen J., 86, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at the Hollidaysburg Veteran's Home, on May 24, 2026. Born October 16, 1939, in Chicago, Ill. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 49 years, Judith (Orth); daughter, Kimberly Mitchell (Dave); and niece, Cindy Kinkaid. Survived by daughter, Michelle Gustkey (Justin Dodson) Altoona; grandchildren, John Michael Millard, Kaylee Neff (Danny Maslo), Krista Sanderson (Patrick), Jennifer Flecker (Tyler) and 6 great-grandchildren. Brother of Shirley Johnson, Streator, Ill.; and also survived by nieces and nephews. Stephen was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where he was also in the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Assembly #954. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Member of the Lions Club for many years. He sold life insurance for both Baltimore Life and New York Life and he was later employed by St. Benedict Catholic School, Geistown, as a custodial staff member. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Fr. David S. Peles officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the funeral home by Menoher VFW, Post #155. Entombment, St. Joseph Mausoleum, Geistown. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
