Everett, PA - RAKOCZY - Steven Ronald, 80, Everett, passed away March 8, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born August 15, 1945, in Windber, Steve "Ron" was preceded in death by father, Stephen M.; mother, Bette V. (Golish) Rakoczy; and stepmother, Ruth (Rubal). Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Shirley A. (Fulir) Rakoczy; daughter, Lori L. Rakoczy, married to Mat Thies; brother, Mark S. Rakoczy, married to Pamela; stepsisters, Linda "Pinkie" Rhodes and Connie Bertino; stepbrothers, Larry Rubal and Butch Rubal; and cherished nieces and nephews. A graduate of Windber Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh, Ron served as a school administrator at Richland High School for more than 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, traveler, and Pitt fan. However, Ron's greatest joy was being a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, from 11 a.m. to time of service held 12 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber. Inurnment to follow at St. Mary's RC Cemetery, Windber.
