Somerset, PA - Smith - Suzanne, 81, of Somerset, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born December 4, 1944, in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Hester Orletta Brant (Mack) and John Lawarence Mack.

She was the beloved wife of David Edward Smith, whom she married on September 4, 1965. She is survived by her husband; her children, Barbara Smith (Tim Witt), William Smith and Diana Tyger (Daniel); her grandchildren, David Paul Roth, Nicholas Sanford Roth (Liz), Emily Samantha Tyger and Abigail Lynn Tyger; her great-grandson, Arthur John Roth; and her sister, Carolyn Tripp. Suzanne was a retired Registered Nurse, dedicating 40 years to the profession, including 19 years at Somerset State Hospital and 9 years at SCI Laurel Mountain before retiring in 2005. She was a graduate of Somerset Area High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, and St. Joseph's College in Maine. A faithful member of St. Peter's Church, she was also active in Birthright of Somerset, Cursillo, and the St. Peter's Ladies Group. Suzanne enjoyed gardening, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY of Somerset. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 433 W. Church St, Somerset, PA 15501. Father Angelo Patti officiating.
