Thomas P. Romanchock Obituary
Thomas Romanchock, 83, of Duncansville, died peacefully in his sleep July 15, 2022, of terminal cancer.
He is survived by his youngest brother, Jimmy Romanchock (Barbara); beloved girlfriend, Barbara Clarkson; and his three children: Deb Dellapena, Denise Barkus (Ken Barkus) and David Romanchock (Heidi Romanchock). He had the pleasure of enjoying five grandchildren: Roman and Dmitry Dellapena, and Reide, Kamren and Faithe Barkus. He was also blessed to have many nieces and nephews who live in the Johnstown area with whom he was very close.
Tom served in the Army and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1967.
He had worked at F.L. Smithe Machine Co. as a machinist and at the railroad for a period of time. He ended his career working for Commercial Envelope Co. in Altoona until he retired at the age of 65.
In addition to his very full life as a machinist, he was by trade a gunsmith. Tom made some of the most beautiful Pennsylvania Muzzle Loaders you've ever seen. He also had a passion for collecting and working on cars. His many corvettes brought him great joy over the years. Tom was an avid hunter and sportsman. He enjoyed visits to Montana and annual trips to Glacier National Park until it became too difficult for him to travel.
Tom had a very colorful personality. He was a remarkable father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Godfather and friend. Tom will be dearly missed.
