SCHAFFER – V. Patrick Jr. “Pat” “Hammer” and “Bubba,” 39, Johnstown, died June 14, 2010. Born June 23, 1970, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by grandparents, Melvin and Jane Cook. Survived by parents, Vincent P. Schaffer Sr. and Cheryl (Cook) Schaffer, Johnstown; sisters, Carolyn Martin, married to John; and Julie Kopach, all of Johnstown; nieces and nephews, who were like his own, Troy Wills, Jeremy Martin and Alyssa McAdams; special aunts, Susan, Mary Lou and Peggy; special uncles, David; Louie, and wife, Carol; and Jimmy, and wife, Christine; special cousins, Sueanne, and husband, Mike, and children; and Holly and children; and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Also survived by the very special and close extended family at McIlwain School Bus Line, where he was a driver of the J-12 bus for 19 years. He was an excellent softball and dart player. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Don Brauer, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to offset costs.
