Viola  DeSalvo
93, Carrolltown passed away September 12, 2019 at St. Benedict Manor. She was born May 21, 1926 in Barnesboro, the daughter of Ralph and Peppina (Pullia) DeFazio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony O. DeSalvo, sisters Theresa Barnoskey, Mary Pagano, Katheryn Cedor, Josephine Verchick, Jane Reiger and brother Louis DeFazio. She is survived by children Nancy (Donald) Sobina, Warren, Pa, Jane (Daniel) Farabaugh, Carrolltown, Anthony (Debi) DeSalvo, Carrolltown, grandchildren David (Michelle) Sobina, Daniel (Linda) Sobina, Jason Farabaugh, Tony (Katie) DeSalvo, Michael DeSalvo, great grandchildren Alex, Maxwell, Jaxon, Sylvia, Emalin and great great step grandchild Cambria, brother Samuel DeFazio, Baltimore, Md, sister Eleanor Mills, Baltimore, Md and numerous nieces and nephews. Viola spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral Mass Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown by Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. (
