Kormanik - Virginia G., 98, Johnstown, passed away December 19, 2024, at Windber Woods. Born May 19, 1926, to the late Frank and Alexandria (Budzelik) Kolish. Preceded in death by husband, Peter Kormanik; sisters, Alice Baywood; Rose Lucas; Ann Sharer; Sophie Nora Kowski; Constance Tomaselli; brothers, Frank, Joseph, and Stanley Kolish; stepson, Robert Kormanik; and brother-in-law, Alfred Kormanik. Survived by stepdaughter, Joan Kozora and husband John; sister-in-law, Nancy Kormanik; stepdaughter-in-law, Pauline Kormanik; grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing word puzzles. She loved attending Bible Study and was always known for her kind and generous personality. She will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends Monday, December 23, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St., Windber. Interment to follow at Richland Cemetery.
