She was a 1952 graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA and worked as a nurse at the Tuberculosis Sanitorium in Cresson until 1957 when she began having children with her husband, "Fussy", and they began raising their family together. She then joyfully transitioned to being the neighborhood nurse, homework helper, family accountant and was overall super-mom as her children aged to adulthood. Ginny enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, baking, bowling and liked going dancing and watching movies, especially with her husband. She was known around town for her amazing Halloween pumpkin cookies. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was the master of puns. She was a devout Catholic and her faith formed and guided her throughout her life. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, especially when they came for family visits and made the house loud and lively. She will be greatly missed by them. Many thanks to the staff that cared for Virginia at Altoona Hospital, UPMC Mainline Medical Associates in Cresson, and Maple Winds Rehabilitation Center in Portage.
