Johnstown, Pennsylvania - BARKHIMER - William E. "Bill," 87, Richland, passed away on July 29, 2025. Born Feb. 13, 1938, in Johnstown, son of William H. and Jane (Mattingly) Barkhimer. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 56 years, Bernice A. (Gigliotti) Barkhimer; brother, James Barkhimer; and sister, Barbara Keiper. Survived by children, Scott Barkhimer, and fiancée, Karen, Richland, and Sheri Evans, and husband, Scott, Apollo; grandchildren, Melody Barkhimer, and fiancé, Taylor, Johnstown; Miranda Barkhimer, Pittsburgh; and Marrah Barkhimer and fiancée, Amber, Altoona. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he was the owner of the Barkhimer Insurance Agency in Johnstown for over 40 years. Bill was a lifetime member of the Johnstown Elks Lodge #175 and longtime member of the Kiwanis Club in Johnstown. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Street, Johnstown. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, Mausoleum A, Richland Cemetery, with Denise Todero, ALP, officiating.
