William (Bill) St. Clair Jones Obituary
William was born in Seward, Pennsylvania on March 24, 1939, the son of the late Nellie (Schweitzer) and Thomas H. Jones. He is survived by his wife, Joan Marie (Fahrney) Jones; daughter, Melanie Rae Jones, of Waynesboro, PA; a son, Stephen F. Kirby, husband of Robin Kirby, six grandsons; Connor Jones of Waynesboro, Trintin Taylor, Andrew, Ryan, Aaron and Bentley Kirby all of South Mountain. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Shirley (Gulledge) Jones and brothers Raymond, Robert and Richard Jones.
He earned a Masters Degree in Computer Science from George Washington University; his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the IUP. He served in the US Navy (Retired). In retirement he worked as Civilian Employee, Sr. Analyst and as a government contractor in the DC area. He was previously involved in the Boy Scouts as a volunteer. A memorial service will be held later and announced online by the Lochstampfor funeral home, Waynesboro, PA.
