Hollsopple, PA - DESORT - William M., 77, of Hollsopple, died May 14, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born May 6, 1949, in Hollsopple, the son of Egnot and Rose (Totson) Desort. Preceded in death by parents; son, Benjamin T. Desort; and brother, Donald Desort. Survived by wife of 53 years, Beverly A. (Shields) Desort; son, Brandon M. Desort, and wife Sherry; and grandson, Matthew Desort. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He was a retired brakeman for CSX Railroad with 30 years of service. He also served in the PA National Guard. Bill enjoyed gardening and hunting. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandson, Matthew. A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Jerome, with Pastor Mark Fischer, presiding.
