KEIFER II— William Stanton, Bill was born in Johnstown to William and Elinetta Keifer. He attended Ferndale High School, graduating in 1961. He received his BS in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh, his Masters of Analytical at the University of Wisconsin, and his Ph. D in Nuclear and Atmospheric Chemistry at the University of Maryland. Bill moved to California where he met his wife Doris Birkinshaw Keifer. They were married June 18 in Arcadia, California, and they would have celebrated 38 years of marriage in June of 2021. Bill had 5 daughters Debbie, Gretchen, Roberta (Vince Herrera), Jennifer, and Kristen (Tom Gause). He was Grandpa to 9 - Alex, Katie, Rowen, William, Orion, Andrew, Vanessa, Kaela, and Amanda, and six great-grandchildren, Maximus, Kennedy, Evie, Jovie, Lane, and Leia. He loved them all to the moon and back. Bill also leaves a brother John (wife Jill) in Norfolk, Virginia, and a sister Susan (husband Paul Hahn) in Austin, Texas and four nephews and one great-nephew. Bill was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He and Doris spent the last 11 years traveling in their RV all over the United States and Canada, enjoying Bill's favorite hobby of photography. Bill was loved, and he is dearly missed. Services will be in California at a later date.
