July 2, 2026. Born to William and Ruth (Jug) Obert. Survived by his wife, Sherry J. (Mills). He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barbara. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at the Everett Cemetery with full military honors by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10 a.m.
