Davidsville, PA - TRANOVICH - William J., "Bill," 86, formerly of Maple Ridge, Hollsopple, died March 19, 2026, at Laurel View Village, Davidsville. Born July 14, 1939, in Hooversville, the son of Michael Sr. and Josephine (Stys) Tranovich. Also preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Judith A. (Fahner) Tranovich, on April 9, 2014; brother, Michael Tranovich Jr.; and sister, Mary Ann Harman. Survived by children, David M., married to Tammie (Cotham) Tranovich, Hohenwald, TN.; Paul J., married to Sharon (Kirchner) Tranovich, Kansas City, MO; and Donna J., married to Brian Platt, Thomas Mills; grandchildren, Courtney, Brindan, Heather, Amanda, Andrew, Aubrey, Daniel, Michael, Emily, Cody and Tatianna; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Cindy Windland. Bill was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked in various coal mines for nearly 18 years and was a retired truck driver. He also drove school bus to high school sporting events and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in some of the events. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with family. Bill was a lifetime member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Hollsopple Post 8861 VFW. Viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, with the Rev. Father Karl Kolodziejski, celebrant. Committal, POS of A Cemetery, Hooversville, with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
